Enriching lives . . .
through Recreation, the Arts and Community

The Milpitas Parks and Recreation Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2007 as an independent organization to raise private funds for grants and scholarships benefiting the Milpitas community in the area of education, recreation and the arts. The Foundation uses its sole discretion over how funds are spent. Additionally, the Foundation works closely with the City of Milpitas’ Parks and Recreation Services Department by seeking and applying for grants which would provide funds to improve community resources and landmarks. The Board of Directors include leading business owners, Milpitas residents and City of Milpitas Liaisons.

The Foundation's mission is to promote health and inspiration through recreation for our community today and for generations to come. The generous donations from individual donors, corporate gifts and grants allow the Foundation to assist hundreds of individuals each year.

The Foundation's marquee fundraising event for the Grant and Scholarship Program is the Annual Festival of Trees in December.  The Festival of Trees Gala has helped raise tens of thousands of dollars over the past few years to support the citizens and organizations in our community.
