The Milpitas Parks and Recreation Foundation is currently seeking and applying for grants which would provide funds to improve community resources and landmarks such as the Barbara Lee Senior Center and the HIguera Adobe. These grant applications are in process.

A children’s community theater program established in 1981 focused on building self-esteem through positive theatrical experience. This program has given thousands of children the opportunity to perform for over 300,000 audience members. It is a theater performed entirely by children.

Animal Crackers encourages creative hands-on fun while learning cooperation, problem solving, language, music, motor skills and more. KinderKids is a sensory-motor based, hands-on class for those energetic children entering Kindergarten. KinderKids focuses on the whole child: socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually through instruction, exploration and discovery. Both programs focus on diversity, cultural understanding and acceptance by teaching about and celebrating the many cultures of the world.

ATB is an after school program providing recreation and education through homework assistance, tutoring and exciting learning activities. The program is offered during the school year at 4 elementary school sites. After the Bell provides a safe and healthy environment while keeping kids off the street and out of trouble.

Milpitas National Little League
The primary goal of Milpitas National Little League South is to provide player growth, development and firmly implant in our youth the idea of sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty, courage and respect for leadership.

The overall mission of Milpitas National Little League South is to provide a foundation based on team work, developing relations on the field and within the community, as well as, enrichment, fulfillment and appreciation of the game at all levels.
